Cranford Dental has been offering Snap-On-Smile, a product of Den-Mat Laboratories, since late 2010. Snap-On-Smile offers a low cost alternative for a quick smile makeover when compared to porcelain crowns or cosmetic veneers. They are ideally utilized as a short-term transitional appliance. Snap-On-Smile is ideal if you have an upcoming major life event such as a wedding, prom, job interview, or photo shoot.
Cranford Dental also can fabricate Smile Transitions appliances, a product essentially identical to Snap-On-Smile, but produced by Glidewell Laboratories of Newport Beach, California. Both appliances can give you a brighter smile, close spaces, and replace missing teeth quickly. All of this can be accomplished with no shots. However, their use is cosmetic in nature only. They are not meant for constant wear and WILL BREAK if you chew or eat with them in.
Our fee structure for Snap-On-Smile and Smile Transition is very straightforward. The fee is $500 plus the laboratory fee and postage. Currently the lab fee for Smile Transitions is $199 and Snap-On-Smile is $400. Postage usually runs $14. This fee covers the initial examination, but not the x-rays. Dental insurance will typically cover all or part of the x-ray fees if you have dental coverage.
Neither laboratory offers a warranty or guarantee for these products. The philosophy of Cranford Dental has always been to propose and complete comprehensive lifetime dentistry for our patients. We do realize that there are times when comprehensive dentistry does not fit time constraints, budget, or other life situations that we all face. If your appliance does break within the first year, we will gladly credit our $500 fee towards a better, longer lasting solution.
