The Consumers’ Research Council of America selected Dr. Cranford as one of “America’s Top Dentists” in 2009. He was also selected as one of Charlotte Magazine's 2009 "Top Dentists" in the area. He earned a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, the highest honor in the field. A former President of the South Carolina Board of Dentistry and member of the Board of Visitors at MUSC, Dr. Cranford remains active in dental leadership today through the South Carolina Dental Licensing Board and state and local dental associations. Dr. Cranford enjoys giving back to the community where he grew up and raised his family. He is a leader and volunteer with Westminster Presbyterian Church, the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, United Way, Head Start, and High Cotton Classic. Bill and his wife, Martha, reside in Rock Hill with their son, Will, a junior at Northwestern High School. They have three daughters: Margaret, a senior at Clemson University; Elizabeth, a third year dental student at MUSC; and Laura Anne, a teacher at Fort Mill High School. |

A native of Rock Hill, Dr. William D. Cranford, Jr., is a 1972 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He graduated from Clemson University and attended Reformed Theological Seminary before graduating from The Medical University of South Carolina in 1983. Dr. Cranford has practiced dentistry in his hometown for the past 26 years.
